In October 2019, academician Ouyang Minggao and his delegation visited Shanghai Maxim Fuel Cell Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Maxim), investigated the membrane electrode assembly (MEA), the core component in the fuel cell stack, and the build-up of the production base.
The investigation team visited the Shanghai Maxim production line and the fuel cell MEA module test room. As a core upstream enterprise of the fuel cell stack, Shanghai Maxim is committed to the R & D and industrialization of the MEA, which is the core component of fuel cell. In 2019, the first MEA for a 40kW stack was delivered. Its performance fully met customer requirements. Then the company received the first batch order within the year.
Maxim has conducted large-scale research into on market scale-ups, production processes, technical trends, production line inputs and outputs, entry thresholds and future development of MEAs, to establish a systematic feasibility study on the construction of MEA production lines. This will ultimately, contribute to "new ecological potential energy" and "hydrogen trend of new energy".
